After all the painting work of the last days, it felt good getting some other stuff in my hands than paint guns and sanding paper.
Suddenly after painting, you realize that you're reaching the end of the fuselage kit manual and that some open issues are left which need to be addressed before moving to the finishing kit.
One of those is the fuel lines. I decided to take the Andair Fuel Selector out of the box and test install it on the painted fuselage.
First I had to rivet some K1000-8 nutplates on the body in order to be able to attach the fuel selector plate.
Taking the fuel selector cap off is quite tricky. You first have to remove the lever. Andair provides a very small allan key with shortend head to be able to get underneath the selector know.
Very easy to do with the pneumatic squeezer which always leads to perfect rivets.
Test installed it and have to say that it looks really cool.
