Now that direwall is drilled to the side and bottom skin, it's time to match drill and fixate the WD-602 attach brackets to the longerons.
You may remember that I drilled the longerons to the side skin in a previous session. This means that all it takes now is to clamp the WD-602 very tightly to the longeron and drill through the steel mount. Sounds simple, but again, work carefully here... These are the brackets that will hold the motor mount and thus cary all the weight of the firewall forward.
We don't want any oval or badly drilled holes here...
Added even more clamps to the WD-602 to longeron mount and made sure the keeper 470 rivets were still in place through skin and longeron holes.
Then started drilling all holes and one by one replace keeper rivets by 1/8 copper cleco's.
Every hole looked very good and I'm pleased with the end result.

Same process on the right passenger side. Overall very pleased with the result.
Outside view and also drilled some remaining firewall flange holes at the top.
I hade some time left in this worksession and decided to start working on the F-719B parts. This is a "Make-From" part meaning you have to create the parts yourself according to the sepcified dimensions. You need two versions of this part, mirrored (so a left and a right version)
Nothing special about this, cut to length and smoothen sides
Measure the dimensions for the cut off part on the vertical flange. Remove using cutting disc, roughly prepare with the vixen file and finish it of with the 3M deburring wheel.
In the next session, I'll have to cut off a par of the base. I didin't notice that in this session but later found out that also the other side needs a tapered cut-off.
