Some more cable installation. This time I installed the cabin heat control cable. The location and routing is indicated on the OP-plans. The hole in the central firewall stiffener is indicated but I installed an additional adel clamp on the diagonal stiffener in order to support the control line above and over the rudder pedals. One more adel clamp is holding the control cable up on the bottom flange of the sub panel. The control cable inner steel cable is attached to the lever on the heat control box and opens and closes the heat control that allows hot air to pass from the firewall forward ducting into the cabin.
Fresh cold air is moved through a muffler on the exhaust pipes where it's heated and travels through a 2" ducting to the heat control box.
I installed the know in it's location near the vents in the custom made panel extention on the sides of the instrument panel.
With all in place I could mark the exact length required for the cable and cut it to length.
My workbench is a mess, I know :)
