12/10/2024 - drill/countersink/nutplates and fine tune wingtip lenses - 4h

Continued installing fasteners for attachment of the wing tip lenses. Drilled the nutplate ear holes and countersunk the rivet holes for countersunk rivets.

deburred and countersunk the lenses for #6 screws.

close up image of the countersink.

Next installed the nutplates with pulled rivets. I didn't like the idea of using the rivet gun on epoxy to set some solid rivets. I will use some epoxy to close up the holes in the pulled rivets. After painting this will all be smooth.

lens installed with cleco's in the nutplates, I did a test install with the tinnerman washers and a #6 screw in the corner.

Repeated the work on the other tip.
