12/03/2025 - Leg fairings (p2) - 1h

Short additional work session on the leg fairing. Countersunk the holes on both sides for the leg fairing.
Make sure the hinge is clecoed on when countersinking. It provides a stable point for the countersink pilot. The leg fairing is fairly thin and the hole will be damaged or elongated if you try to countersink it without back support.

The leg fairing is a bit flimsy and curved and it's difficult to keep the countersink cage straight. A method that worked well for me is to open the trailing edge of the fairing and support the hinge from below with 2 fingers while you countersink. It gave me consistent results and I'm very satisfied with the result.
