13/07/2024 - Landing light wiring - 4h

Pulled the plane-side wiring for the landing lights. As mentioned earlier, I'm installing DTM deutsch connectors at the wing root.

Drilled a small hole in the seat rib and installed a rubber grommet. This small hole is enough to accomodate all wires for the 2 connectors.
In the image below I pulled the 2 multiconductor wires for the NAV and Aerosun VX landing lights

Bringing it all together through the center conduit that runs between the center floot stiffeners on either side of the electrical aux fuel pump. From there it runs up on the sides of the F-601N-L and R stiffeners spitting out the wires at the top forwardside on the firewall. Don't forget to label each wire as you pull it. Wiring quickly turns into a circus (or the so called "spaghetti wiring").

Installed one of the Aerosun VX multiconductor wires on the new terminal block. The other will join the same terminals on the left side, the right side will run to the VPX power pins for powering of the Landing Light, Taxi Light and WigWag. The WigWag is actually not a signal wire but a full blown power wire and needs an appropriate 9Amp circuit breaker just like the Landing Light.

Same work pilot side.

This is how it looks on the inside underneath the seat covers.

Pop rivetted the brackets in place
