“No bird ever flew nonstop from New York to Tokyo, or raced 15 miles high at triple the speed of sound.
Birds do something else.   They do not conquer the air; they romance it..”

I have been facing difficulties while mating the wings to the fuselage to create a fuel tube that makes the connection between my gascolators and the fuel pickup point of the flop tube in the wing root.
The gascolator is a bit too high to be able to make a nice transition through the leading edge bracket and then make an immediate outbend of 90 degrees to the wing.

After some scratching my head, I decided that the only way I could solve this is by actually lowering the gascolators by about a half inch.
So I spend a day remaking the brackets. Fortunatly this went a lot faster as I could copy the layout from the existing ones.

I clamped the existing bracket against the bracket so that I could copy the screw positions for the attach holes in the firewall.

Here is the result of the new 0.063 gauge bracket. The ruler shows the alignment with the forward attach bracket is now perfect. This makes that I can run a straight line towards the wing.
On the opposite side, this means I will have to remake the outer fuel tube that passes through the fuselage

 Same on the passenger side.

The next image shows what I mean by "passing through the wing bracket".

A 1 inch grommet will be installed in that front wing bracket which will support the fuel line.
