Here is why I wrote in previous article that you need to clamp the heat vents from  both bottom and top side when you try to bend them.

I got a crach in the pilot side lower vent while clamping. You can see the crack in the picture below.
For repairing, I decided to cut the vent and place a doubler plate of 0.025" on supported on each side by two AN426AD3 rivet.

Made the plate.

Cut the crack out and sanded all smooth.

Now primed it and waiting for the paint to set before I can rivet it on.
