20/07/2020 - More inner rib wingfairing work - 4h

Some more inner wing rib work. This time worked on the top side of the wing.

Since the wing walk doubler is laying underneath the top skin, these holes can not be dimpled and must be machine countersunk.

Then deburred, dimpled and installed the nutplates on the leading edge of the wing. This is not as easy as it looks as you have to be real carefull not to mess up the fuel tank sealant.
I had to carefully cut away a part of the sealant to be able to install the nutplate. Also during squeezing the rivet, pay special attention not to destroy the sealant or you will end up with a leaky tank.

Finally I installed the nutplate on the fuel tank bracket. Used a screw to keep it in position.

Easy. Also remark the cap on the exit point of the tank. Always close up your fuel lines or tank connections. You don't want any dust or debris to pile up in there.

Finally installed the nutplates on the top side of the rear rib.
