20/02/2022 - working on wingtips reinforcement strip - 5h

The reinforcement strip is normally not needed if you install screws but I decided to put one in anyway for extra strength. My wingtips will be removable so I decided to go with the nutplate-screw approach.

4 long strips are delivered with the cut so fortunaly you don't have to make these long thin strips by yourself. Made a centerline on them, clamped in place and drilled away for the intial line that will hold the screws. First drilled #40.

View from the inside. You"ll have to trim off a bit to make room for the wing tip rib in the rear.

Initial drilled both sides

Then enlarged all the holes for the AN507-6R6 #6 screws.

Then removed the strips and used the nuplate jig tool to drill the ears to #40.

 All done...
