Making F-796 parts - 02/01/2015

At this point, I didn't know about my problem with the F-796 parts yet as I reported (changed) in the previous article on the F-902's

Made out of AA6-125-3/4-3/4 the two angle F-796B as required for the support of the fuel tank brackets on the outside of the skin. These 2 parts are the left and right side
inside supports for those brackets. These things will carry quite a bit of load as the front side of the wing will be attached to this. Made both parts as per the dimensions on the plan.

Between F-713 and F-717 longerons, you also need to add some spacers to cover the gap between F-902 and the F-796B bracket.

4 are required, 2 using 0.063 and 2 using 0.032 sheet.

After initial fitting, the spacers seems to be a bit wide to nest well in the flange of F-902 so some grinding will need to be done.

Another tip, don't make the pilot hole on the top yet as the manual tells you to. If you don't do it, you still have some opportunity to move the spacers before actually drilling.
I'll grind away a bit of mine and things will be fine.
