“No bird ever flew nonstop from New York to Tokyo, or raced 15 miles high at triple the speed of sound. Birds do something else. They do not conquer the air; they romance it..”Peter Garrison
Video seminars online from the EAA
These video's have helped me a lot of times to visualize a task or to get a first impression what's coming next in order to make the text in the manual be clearer right from the first reading. You kind of get a first glance at the work to be done before you read the instructions and it helps visualising and build the mental image of the task ahead. I'm not sure what his real name is but he is sure of big value of the builder community and spent a lot of time documenting all he did on camera. Might be repetitive at times but that's ok, there is a ton of value in these video's.
I found this good description from John Pharrell who illustrated his empenage fairing closing procedure in details.
Paul Dye is a hero in the kitplane building community. In this series, he is explaining many of the basic techniques required for metal airplane construction.
A must watch for everybody who wants to start building a sheet metal airplane.
