05/03/2020 - Pitot tubing work and some rivetting - 4h

Some more solo work done today. No rivetter available for the skin so doing some other remaining tasks.
One of them is cutting the aluminum tubing of the pitot mast and flaring the connection points.

I have the dynon unheated pitot mast which features aoa line and pitot line.
These are very thin tubes so be extra gentle with them.

Some stretch marks visible, but no cracks.

I temporarily fit the connection points and installed in the mast.
Some people bend the tubing and ring it all the way to the wing rib. I opted for the other option of cutting it at the end of the mast and running flexible wiring from there.

Put some thread sealant on the connection points and screwed on the gold colored fittings with the special locking mechanism by safeair1 that will receive the flexible lines.

Did some more rivetting after that. I squeezed both lines of rivets on the very first inner rib. This can be reached with a pneumatic squeeze so it could be done without any help.
