No bird ever flew nonstop from New York to Tokyo, or raced 15 miles high at triple the speed of sound.
  But birds do something else.
They do not conquer the air; they romance it.

Some decisions in life are bare of any obvious logic

Before starting the actual work of the day, I pulled some more wiring to the back of the aircraft for the suntail lights.

Started the installation of the electric aileron trim. The work for the trim is illustrated in the plans on OP-19.

The electrical trim system is very similar to the manual trim system. The only difference is that there is no WD-658 handle for manual manipulation. The handle is replaced by a ray allen servo motor similar to the elevator trim and the WD-756 push arm is moved by two push arms from the motor.

First you need to locate the holes that will secure the F-7123 nylon pivot block to the F-6124 trim bracket.

The hole is drilled #10, vertically and horizontally.

Next you test fit the arm and trim the top of it so it doesn't protrude the nylon block height. You also need to drill two holes for the larger cotter pin that secures the arm in the nylon block.

Cotter pin test fitting

Then the arm needs to be bent according to the position indicated on the plans.

A gap is made in the block that allows insertion of the cotterpin.

Drilled and installed the trim bracket to the seat ribs

And final for the day, hand painted the bracket with primer. This will rest underneath invisible under the seat pans so no need for getting the spray gun out and do all the cleaning afterwards for such a small part.
