Not much pictures, but a lot of work done. We have been rivetting the top skins of the left wing on the spar.
It's a very rewarding job as you see the cleco's dissapear.
Make sure you work from the center towards the edges in a star form. This ensures good skin thightness.
Part of the rear spar rivet and the inboard rib rivets were squeezed.
For the inboard rivets, I used 4.5 length instead of 4 as indicated on the plans as I found that they did not have enough diameter and remaining gauge when squeezed. The 4.5 look much better.
The remaining inboard rear spar clecoes in the picture can not be squeezed, the reinforcement fork in the back makes the area too thight to put the yoke in, so they will have to be shot and bucked.
Overall, I'm happy with the result of the shop heads. 34 PSI does it for me with 3/32" rivets.
