Today is a big day for the instrument panel. I installed the sub panels and the Dynon HDX panel and fired it up for the first time.
No smoke !
The screen on startup is not very impressing as it doesn't find any connected system after startup.
I connected ly SV-GPS2020 GPS wires to the D37 connector that feeds into the HDX display.
GND and Power go to pin 24 and 29, the signal itself is a serials RS232 signal that I attached to Serial line 5 on pin 11 for Receive and pin 12 for Transmit.
After detecting devices and firing up the screen again, we have a screen ! It has no idea yet where I am as I am in a closed garage but it clearly is seeing the GPS unit. I'll move the plane out in some days and give this a real try.
Instrument panel removed once more and this is how the second upper bulkhead looks like with the sv dynon hub, dynon radio and vpx. The ems module is located on the other side of the bulkhead behind the sv-net hub.
I had some time left and decided on a place for the Dynon USB data port. This is not a charging port but used to load new software and charts to the dynon screens.
After cutout gave it a try and looks very good. Will put a label above it to indicate a data-only port
